The Economic Epidemiology Page

Introduction

This page is intended as a collection of resources on economic epidemiology and related topics. It is by nature a work in progress and you are invited to contribute any relevant information you have, such as conference announcements, new papers and other things that you believe may be of interest to the relevant research and policy community.

If you are new to the subject, you can read an excellent introduction in: Gersovitz, M. and J. S. Hammer (2003): Infectious Diseases, Public Policy and the Marriage of Economics and Epidemiology, World Bank Research Observer, 18(2), 129-157. Online version can be found here.

Another great introduction is: Philipson, T. (2000): Economic Epidemiology and Infectious Disease, Handbook of Health Economics, volume 1B, Part 8; Cuyler, A. J. and J. P. Newhouse (eds.), Amsterdam: North Holland.

News and Announcements

The Seminar Series on Economic Epidemiology (supported by CReMic) will resume next term (Lent 2010).
