TIM BUTTON's HOMEPAGE
I am currently undertaking a year-long Visiting Fellowship at Harvard University, in the philosophy department. I am doing some teaching, and working on various papers in metaphysics, logic and philosophy of mathematics.
When I return, I will finish my PhD at Darwin College, Cambridge University.
My main research is in philosophy of math, logic and metaphysics. I like thinking about different varietes of realism (internal, quasi-, anti-) about mathematical entities, and about the relationship between formal and informal mathematics.
I also think about philosophy of computation (especially hypercomputation), philosophy of time (especially unpopular-but-fun no-futurism, a.k.a. the "growing block" or "growing salami" model) and philosophy of fiction.
I can be contacted by email at tecb2 at cam dot ac dot uk.
